Please note that when payment is made on board, Provence Class Driver may require a deposit before confirming the reservation. Our quotations remain valid for 30 days, unless otherwise stated.

4. Deposits & Refunds

Some reservations require a deposit to secure the booking. The amount of the deposit will always be communicated before confirmation. The remaining balance may be paid online through our secure payment link, via PayPal, or on board by credit/debit card or cash, when previously agreed.

Refund Policy Whenever a refund is issued—whether it concerns a deposit or a fully paid reservation—a 5% banking and payment processing fee will be deducted from the refunded amount. This deduction covers the transaction fees charged by payment providers, which are generally non-refundable. Whenever possible, refunds will be processed using the original payment method. If this is not technically possible, Provence Class Driver will issue the refund by Bank transfer or PayPal. We always aim to process refunds as quickly as possible, although processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.

5. Customer Cancellation Policy & Right of Withdrawal

We understand that travel plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel your reservation, we kindly ask you to notify us as soon as possible by email or WhatsApp.

Right of Withdrawal (French Consumer Code): In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply to passenger transport services provided on a specific date. Consequently, any cancellation or modification is strictly governed by our cancellation policy below.

  • Cancellation more than 48 hours before the scheduled service: You will receive a refund of the amount paid, minus the applicable 5% banking and payment processing fee.
  • Cancellation less than 48 hours before the scheduled service: Any deposit paid becomes non-refundable. If the reservation has already been paid in full, Provence Class Driver reserves the right to retain the deposit amount and refund the remaining balance, less the applicable 5% processing fee.
  • Cancellation on the day of the service: Any cancellation made on the day of the scheduled service will be charged in full.

No-Show A reservation will be considered a No-Show if:

  • the customer does not arrive at the agreed meeting point;
  • the customer cannot be reached using the contact details provided during booking;
  • the customer leaves the airport, train station or cruise terminal without contacting Provence Class Driver;
  • the customer voluntarily abandons the service.

In these situations, the service will be considered completed and no refund will be issued. These conditions also apply if the customer misses a flight, train or other transportation due to reasons beyond the responsibility of Provence Class Driver.

6. Cancellation by Provence Class Driver

While we make every effort to honor every confirmed reservation, there may be exceptional circumstances beyond our reasonable control that prevent us from operating a scheduled service. Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to: severe weather conditions, flooding or wildfires, road closures, natural disasters, government restrictions, civil unrest, public safety concerns, mechanical failure or accident affecting the assigned vehicle, or any other event considered to be force majeure under French law.

Should Provence Class Driver be unable to provide the booked service, we will notify the Customer as soon as reasonably possible. Whenever possible, we will first attempt to offer a suitable alternative vehicle or chauffeur. If no suitable alternative can be provided, the reservation will be cancelled and the Customer will receive a refund. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method whenever technically possible. If this is not possible, the refund will be made by bank transfer or PayPal. In this specific situation, the 5% payment processing fee will not be deducted. The Customer will receive a full refund of the amount paid. Provence Class Driver shall not be liable for any indirect costs incurred by the Customer, including but not limited to accommodation expenses, airline tickets, cruise tickets, missed connections or any consequential losses.

7. Flight Delays, Flight Diversions & Cruise Ship Diversions

To provide the best possible service, Provence Class Driver monitors commercial flight arrivals in real time using the flight number provided during booking. If your flight is delayed, your chauffeur will automatically adjust the pickup time at no additional charge, provided the flight number supplied is correct. The same principle applies to train arrivals whenever operationally possible.

However, if a flight is diverted to another airport or a cruise ship is redirected to another port due to weather conditions, operational decisions or any event beyond our control, the original reservation can no longer be guaranteed. Because the booked chauffeur and vehicle are assigned to the original pickup location, no refund will be due in the event of a diversion. Whenever possible and subject to availability, Provence Class Driver will be pleased to provide a new quotation for the revised pickup location.

8. Waiting Time

Our chauffeurs understand that arriving at an airport or cruise terminal can sometimes take longer than expected. For this reason, we include complimentary waiting time with every reservation. Standard waiting times are:

  • Airports: up to 60 minutes after the actual landing time.
  • Train stations: up to 30 minutes after arrival.
  • Cruise ports: up to 30 minutes after passengers are authorized to disembark.

For airport arrivals, your chauffeur will be waiting inside the Arrivals Hall with a personalized name sign. If you experience any delay after landing or cannot locate your chauffeur, we kindly ask that you contact us immediately by telephone or WhatsApp before leaving the terminal. Additional waiting time may be possible depending on chauffeur availability and may incur additional charges. If the Customer cannot be contacted within the complimentary waiting period, the reservation may be considered a No-Show.

9. Changes Requested by the Customer

We understand that travel plans may change. Whenever possible, Provence Class Driver will do its best to accommodate modifications requested after the reservation has been confirmed. However, all changes remain subject to vehicle and chauffeur availability. Last-minute changes may result in additional charges. Examples include: missed flight connections, missed trains, changes to arrival times, requests to advance or postpone the pickup time, or additional waiting time requested by the Customer.

If the pickup location or final destination is changed after confirmation, the fare will be recalculated based on the additional distance and driving time required. Any revised price will be communicated before the service continues whenever possible.

10. Concierge Services

At Provence Class Driver, we believe that transportation is only part of your travel experience. Upon request, we are pleased to assist our customers with complimentary concierge advice and, where possible, reservation services. These services may include restaurant reservations, winery visits and tastings, museum tickets, cultural attractions, private experiences, local recommendations, or other tourist activities.

When Provence Class Driver purchases tickets or makes reservations on behalf of the Customer, such purchases are made in the Customer’s name. Unless otherwise stated by the third-party provider, these reservations and tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Provence Class Driver acts solely as an intermediary and cannot be held responsible for cancellations, schedule changes, service interruptions or any other decisions made by third-party providers. We will, however, always do our best to assist our customers in finding a satisfactory solution whenever possible.

11. Vehicle Categories & Luggage Policy

To ensure your comfort and safety, we kindly ask all customers to accurately declare the number of passengers and luggage items at the time of booking.

  • Sedan: Our sedan vehicles can accommodate up to 2 checked suitcases and 3 cabin-size suitcases, OR up to 3 checked suitcases and 1 cabin-size suitcase.
  • Vans: Our premium vans can accommodate 7 or 8 passengers, depending on the vehicle assigned. Each passenger may bring one checked suitcase and one small personal item.

If the declared luggage exceeds the capacity of the reserved vehicle, Provence Class Driver may propose a larger vehicle, subject to availability. Additional charges may apply. For safety reasons, luggage cannot obstruct passenger seating or visibility.

12. Children & Child Safety Seats

The safety of our youngest passengers is one of our priorities. Child seats are available free of charge, subject to availability. To comply with French regulations, child seats may be required for children from birth up to approximately 8 years of age, depending on their height and weight. Customers must inform Provence Class Driver of the number of children travelling and the age of each child. This information must be provided at least 48 hours before the scheduled service to allow us to prepare the appropriate child restraint systems. Failure to provide this information may prevent Provence Class Driver from supplying the appropriate equipment.

13. Pets

Pets are welcome only under the following conditions:

  • they must travel in a secure transport carrier suitable for their size;
  • the carrier must remain closed throughout the journey.

For hygiene and safety reasons, animals may not travel freely inside the vehicle. In accordance with French legislation, certified guide dogs and assistance dogs accompanying visually impaired or disabled passengers are always accepted without restriction.

14. Passenger Conduct

Our chauffeurs are committed to providing a pleasant, safe and professional experience for every passenger. Customers are expected to behave respectfully towards the chauffeur, the vehicle and other passengers. Provence Class Driver reserves the right to refuse or immediately terminate a journey if a passenger:

  • behaves aggressively or violently;
  • uses abusive or threatening language;
  • is under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs to the extent that safety may be compromised;
  • damages the vehicle;
  • places the chauffeur or other passengers at risk.

In such circumstances, the journey will be terminated immediately and no refund will be provided.

15. Smoking, Vaping, Food & Drinks

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited in all Provence Class Driver vehicles. For the comfort of all passengers, eating inside the vehicle is discouraged unless previously authorized by the chauffeur. Beverages are permitted provided they are consumed responsibly and do not damage or stain the vehicle.

16. Cleaning Charges, Vehicle Damage & Vehicle Immobilization

Passengers are expected to treat our vehicles with care. Should a vehicle require exceptional professional cleaning due to excessive dirt, food, beverages, mud, smoke residue, bodily fluids, or any other abnormal condition caused by passengers, a fixed cleaning fee of €200 will be charged.

This fixed fee covers professional cleaning but does not include structural damage. Furthermore, any prolonged immobilization of the vehicle required for its restoration or cleaning may result in additional billing based on actual operating losses (perte d’exploitation).

Should the vehicle suffer damage beyond standard cleaning—including but not limited to tears, burns, broken equipment, or intentional damage—the Customer shall be responsible for the full repair costs. Supporting documentation may be provided upon request.

17. Lost Property

Passengers are responsible for ensuring that all personal belongings have been collected before leaving the vehicle. Any items found inside one of our vehicles will be kept for a reasonable period whenever possible. If our chauffeur is operating within the same geographical area, we will gladly return the item whenever practical.

Should personal delivery not be possible, Provence Class Driver can arrange shipment by postal service or courier to an address designated by the Customer. All shipping and packaging costs shall be borne by the Customer. Provence Class Driver cannot accept responsibility for valuables left unattended inside the vehicle.

18. Vehicle Substitution

Although customers may request a specific vehicle category, Provence Class Driver reserves the right to substitute the booked vehicle with another vehicle of an equivalent or higher category when operational requirements, maintenance or unforeseen circumstances make this necessary. Such substitution shall not entitle the Customer to any refund or compensation.

19. Photography & Privacy

From time to time, customers may ask our chauffeurs to take photographs during their journey. Provence Class Driver will never publish or use photographs featuring customers without their prior consent. All personal information collected during the booking process is processed in accordance with applicable French and European data protection regulations (GDPR). Customer information is used solely for the management of reservations, customer service and legal obligations. We do not sell or disclose personal information to third parties except where required to provide the requested service or by law.

20. Liability

Provence Class Driver undertakes to perform every booked service with professionalism, punctuality and reasonable care. However, we cannot be held liable for delays or service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: traffic congestion, road accidents, roadworks, police or customs controls, demonstrations, severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, decisions made by airports, airlines, railway companies or cruise operators, or any event considered to be force majeure.

Customers are responsible for allowing sufficient travel time when booking transportation to airports, train stations or cruise terminals. Our liability shall in all circumstances be limited to the amount paid for the booked transportation service.

21. Complaints

Should you wish to submit a complaint regarding one of our services, we kindly ask that you contact us in writing within 7 days of the date of the service. We are committed to reviewing every complaint carefully and responding as quickly as possible. Customer satisfaction remains one of our highest priorities.

22. Governing Law, Amicable Resolution & Mediation

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of France. Any dispute arising from these Terms & Conditions shall first be addressed through an amicable resolution whenever possible.

In accordance with French consumer law, for any unresolved dispute following a written complaint submitted to our customer service, the Customer has the right to contact a consumer ombudsman (médiateur de la consommation) free of charge. You can contact an approved mediation entity via their official platform.

If no amicable agreement can be reached, the dispute shall fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
